Schneider Weisse Alkoholfrei ranks among the best non-alcoholic wheat beers available in Germany. The Bavarian brewery Schneider & Sohn was founded by Georg Schneider and his son in 1872 and their descendants still own it today. They began by buying the Weisses Brauhaus – Munich’s oldest wheat beer brewery – and by 1927 they had expanded into the Bavarian towns of Kelheim and Straubing. All production was moved to Kelheim when bombing destroyed the Weisses Brauhaus in 1944.
